It’s double Man City on @DannyBryan27’s NOT so hot list ahead of Gameweek 7 [Part 2]
For those of you who’re reading this article having just read Part 1 – thank you for joining us again and we hope you’re enjoying the new layout and style of this weekly piece.

So, without further ado, I wish all Fantasy Premier League bosses around the world, the very best of luck for Gameweek 7 and as always, may your arrows be green.
Who’s NOT? (hot)
Marcos Alonso – Chelsea [£7.1m]
While all the talk has been about the flying starts of the Manchester clubs, Chelsea have continued to stay within touching distance.
However, Chelsea’s Gameweek 7 opponents, Manchester City, are currently averaging over 3 goals per game – so only a brave (mad-man) would leave a Chelsea defender in their team for this Gameweek – particularly one who carries a whopping £7.1m price tag.
City and Chelsea have conceded just seven Premier League goals between them so far, so, granted, this fixture may not prove to be the goal-fest that many will be anticipating.
But why take that chance? Especially when transferring Alonso out would enable FPL bosses to take their pick from any other defender, and still have cash left over.
My strong advice for Gameweek 7 would be to remove any Chelsea defenders you may have, and replace them with either Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia, or possibly take a punt on Man City’s Danilo.
Kevin de Bruyne – Manchester City [£10.0m]
Despite a series of outstanding displays for Manchester City, De Bruyne owners are yet to experience real value for money for the midfielder, who comes at a cost of £10.0m.
The Belgian is yet to score this season, and managed just one assist in the last two Gameweeks, despite City scoring 11 goals in that time.
Is this satisfactory form for a player who alone takes up 10% of your FPL budget?
Evidently not – especially when you consider the likes of Southampton’s Steven Davis and Huddersfield’s Aaron Mooy are currently matching De Bruyne’s total score, despite being almost 50% cheaper.
Manchester City travel to Stamford Bridge in Gameweek 7, where De Bruyne will face his former club, Chelsea.
An incredibly tough fixture to call, with a plethora of FPL big-hitters going head-to-head – a good opportunity to search for some differentials instead.
Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey is in fine form and has an excellent chance of scoring high once again as Arsenal face Brighton at the Emirates.
Gabriel Jesus – Manchester City [£10.5m]
Staying with Manchester City, the young Brazilian forward remains a rather enigmatic FPL figure, supplying goals aplenty – albeit at a high cost – whilst drifting in and out of favour in Pep Guardiola’s side. So, here’s why Jesus is not your messiah for Gameweek 7:
The former Palmeiras man is yet to complete a full 90 minutes in the Premier League this season, and was left out completely in Gameweek 6 as City thrashed Palace – a Gameweek that promised so much for Jesus owners, but delivered nothing.
Furthermore, there are no guarantees whatsoever that he will start, let alone score, against Chelsea in Gameweek 7, and there’s a host of strikers bang in-form with far easier fixtures.
If you’re a Jesus owner, a straight-swap for Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette is an absolute no-brainer for Gameweek 7.
The Gunners’ record signing has scored in every home game so far, including a brace in their Gameweek 6 victory over West Brom.
