Adam Lallana – Liverpool (STO)
- Stoke City (H)
The English midfielder is having his best season since joining Liverpool, having already produced 6 goals and 6 assists in just 15 appearances so far; beating his return of 4 goals and 6 assists during the whole of last season.
Since returning from injury, Lallana has managed 3 goals and 1 assist in 4 Premier League appearances. During that period, he’s taken a total of 5 shots, with 3 coming from inside the area. He’s also produced 4 attempted assists.
In Gameweek 18, Liverpool host a Stoke side that gave up a 2-0 lead against Leicester last weekend and have now failed to win any of their last 3 games. They’ve conceded 5 goals during that period; only Bournemouth (6), Crystal Palace (6), Swansea (6) and Hull (7) have conceded more.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Man United (SUN)
- Sunderland (H)
The Manchester United forward has returned to form recently, following a run of 6 Premier League games without a goal.
In his last 6 games, he’s scored 7 goals and provided 1 assist, as Jose Mourinho’s side continue with their unbeaten run.
In the last 5 Gameweeks, Ibrahimovic has taken 11 shots from inside the area; only Salomon Rondon (12) and Theo Walcott (14) have taken more. The Swede has also produced 9 attempted assists during that period, and only Harry Kane (11) has managed more amongst strikers.
Up next for Man Utd is a home fixture against Sunderland, a side that have won just 2 of their last 5 games, losing 3, and sit 18th in the league table. They’ve conceded 7 goals in the last 5 Gameweeks, but 5 of those have come during 2 away games.
Theo Walcott – Arsenal (WBA)
- West Brom (H)
The Arsenal midfielder has returned an impressive 8 goals and 3 assists so far this season; already surpassing his returns in each of the last 3 seasons.
In the last 6 Gameweeks, Walcott has taken 14 shots from inside the area; level with Salomon Rondon and Sadio Mané, and no player has taken more.
Arsenal have a very kind schedule over the next few weeks, with home fixtures against Crystal Palace, Burnley and Watford to come over the next 6 games, as well as away trips to Bournemouth and Swansea.
In Gameweek 18, they host a West Brom side that were beaten 2-0 last weekend by Man Utd. The Baggies are having a good season, and they’re scoring more goals than you’d expect from a Tony Pulis side.
However, they’re also keeping fewer clean sheets. They’ve kept just 3 clean sheets this season, after having kept a total of 26 clean sheets over the previous 2 Premier League seasons.
Héctor Bellerín – Arsenal (WBA)
- West Brom (H)
The attacking right-back has returned from injury to feature in each of the last 3 Premier League games, where he’s picked up 1 assist.
During the last 3 Gameweeks, Bellerin has taken 4 shots and produced 4 attempted assists, making him by far the most attacking defender at Arsenal from open play.
Despite his heavy £6.4m price tag, a kind run of fixtures during the next 8 games for Arsenal, along with his attacking potential, should see the right-back return some impressive points.
Up next for them is a home fixture against West Brom. Tony Pulis’ side are in good form, and have scored a reasonable 6 goals during their last 4 games. However, all 6 of those games came during home fixtures against fairly poor Watford and Swansea sides. West Brom failed to score in the other 2 fixtures in that period, against Chelsea and Manchester United.
