Sadio Mané – Liverpool (lei)

  • £9.3m
  • 13.3%
  • 16
  • Leicester (A), Arsenal (H), Burnley (H)

The Liverpool midfielder has been a popular transfer in this week and for good reason. Firstly, because of his brace during the 2-0 win over Spurs in Gameweek 25 and secondly, because Liverpool became 1 of only 8 teams with a guaranteed fixture in Gameweek 28, after Burnley, their Gameweek 28 opponents, lost out to Lincoln in the FA Cup.

Following his return from the African Cup of Nations, Mané has started each of the last 2 Premier League games for Liverpool. His 5 shots on target during that time is level with Mkhitaryan and Lukaku, and no player has taken more shots on target during the same period.

The other two popular Liverpool midfielders, Coutinho and Firmino, have each managed just 1 shot on target during the last 2 Gameweeks and have failed to find the back of the net.

Over the course of the season so far, Sadio Mané has averaged 6.0 points per game, which is more than any of the other Liverpool midfielders.

In Gameweek 26, Liverpool face a Leicester side that have slipped down to 17th in the league table, following a run of 5 consecutive defeats. During that period, Ranieri’s men have conceded 12 goals, only Bournemouth have conceded more, with 15.

Romelu Lukaku – Everton (SUN)

  • £9.9m
  • 32.5%
  • 2
  • Sunderland (H), Spurs (A), West Brom (H)

The Belgian international is currently doubtful with a calf injury but is expected to recover in time for Gameweek 26.

It’s been a successful campaign so far for Lukaku; he’s currently the 2nd highest goal scorer in the Premier League, behind Alexis Sanchez.

During the last 6 Gameweeks, Lukaku’s tally of 6 goals scored is better than any other player has managed. His 9 shots on target during that period is level with Ibrahimovic, and only Alexis Sanchez has managed more, with 10 shots on target.

With Blank Gameweeks ahead for the popular Zlatan Ibrahimovic (GW26 & GW28) and Harry Kane (GW28), the Everton striker is the only premium option upfront who is guaranteed a fixture in each of the upcoming Gameweeks.

Up next for Everton is a home game against a Sunderland side that have conceded 9 goals during the last 5 Gameweeks. That tally is level with Swansea and Crystal Palace, and only Leicester (12) and Bournemouth (15) have conceded more goals over the same period.

Eden Hazard – Chelsea (SWA)

  • £10.3m
  • 31.7%
  • 2
  • Swansea (H), West Ham (A), BLANK

The Chelsea midfielder has become a popular transfer in, following the confirmation that Alexis Sanchez will face 2 Blank Gameweeks in the near future.

While Chelsea do have a Blank Gameweek themselves, in Gameweek 28, their next 4 fixtures are fairly strong, with home games against Swansea and Crystal Palace and away trips to West Ham and Stoke.

Hazard has become known as a player who performs better at home than away, in terms of FPL. He’s averaged 4.6 points per game away from home, compared to an incredible 7.7 points per game at home.

In Chelsea’s last 4 home games, Hazard has returned 2 goals and 3 assists and failed to return points in just 1 of those games.

Chelsea are at home in Gameweek 26, to a Swansea side that are still conceding goals, despite their recent form. They’ve conceded 9 in the last 5 Gameweeks; only Leicester (12) and Bournemouth (15) have conceded more goals over the same period.

Harry Maguire – Hull City (BUR)

  • £4.4m
  • 0.3%
  • 1
  • Burnley (H), Leicester (A), Swansea (H)

Hull have improved dramatically since the appointment of Marco Silva. They’ve made it through a tough run of fixtures, against Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal, in the last 4 Gameweeks, and have managed to take 4 points, conceding just 4 goals over that period.

Not only are Hull 1 of only 8 teams with a guaranteed fixture in Gameweek 28, but their upcoming fixtures are generally much more kind on paper. Over the next 6 Gameweeks, they host Burnley, Swansea, West Ham and Middlesbrough, and travel to a struggling Leicester side.

Harry Maguire gets the nod over Robertson purely for his goal threat. In his 18 appearances this season, he’s taken a total of 22 attempts on goal, with 7 hitting the target.

In the last 6 Gameweeks, he’s taken 11 goal attempts, which is more than any other defender. 5 of those have come from inside the area and 3 have hit the target.

Up next for Hull is a home game against a Burnley side that have scored just 5 away goals all season, which is fewer than every other team. They’ve scored 5 goals in the last 5 Gameweeks; only Crystal Palace (2), Middlesbrough (2) and Leicester (0) have scored fewer.
