Is Tottenham’s Harry Kane your go-to captains pick for Double Gameweek 34?
Good day to all Fantasy Premier League bosses and welcome to our Double Gameweek 34 Captains Poll, where we give you an opportunity to post your captaincy pick and see how your fellow peers have voted ahead of Saturday’s 11:30am deadline.
The first of two big DOUBLE Gameweek’s are finally upon on ladies and gentleman – excited? Hmmm, maybe not.
With only 8 Premier League clubs playing twice in Double Gameweek 34, I can see why many of you are opting to play the Triple Captain chip this week, whilst saving your Bench Boost for a healthier double in Gameweek 37. Decisions decisions.
3 of the 8 teams to play twice in Double Gameweek 34 are Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs – but of those clubs, there appears to be only one trustworthy captaincy selection, and it certainly isn’t Romelu – but will that stop you opting for the Belgian?
Arsenal’s star-man, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has delivered 4 goals, 1 assist and 6 bonus points in his last 4 Premier League outings, yet he’s already the second most transferred OUT striker ahead of Double Gameweek 34 – with FPL bosses ditching the striker for Kane, Lukaku and Vardy respectively.
Gameweek 33 saw the OfficialFPL account give and then take away Harry Kane’s goal – whether it touched his shoulder or not caused great debate amongst the FPL community, but not enough to deter us for entrusting him with the armband this week against Manchester City (H) and Brighton (A).
Elsewhere, Leicester City’s Jame Vardy left it late once again to bag his only goal of the game – however, whilst returns of 8, 6 and 5 in his last 3 aren’t to be sniffed at, he’s scored only 1 double-digit haul this season (back in Gameweek 1) which doesn’t fill me with much confidence going in to Double Gameweek 34.
Manchester United’s two Gameweek 34 fixtures against West Brom (H) and Bournemouth (A) appear to have caught the eye of many FPL bosses, with several Twitter polls suggesting that both Lukaku and Sanchez are going to be tempting Triple Captain options this week.
So, with the likes of Kane, Lukaku and Vardy likely to top this weeks Double Gameweek 34 Captains Poll, will your captaincy pick come down to a coin-flip decision, a punt, or, a safe pick?
Whatever your thoughts, plans or questions might be, please cast your captaincy pick to the poll below and reach out to me on Twitter via @FFPundits_Drew to continue the discussion.
