This weekend’s SUPER Sunday is a feast of football for fantasy managers, with 4 of the Premier League’s top 6 facing off against each other.
This represents another chance for you to come and challenge myself, @FFPundits_Dale and the Fantasy Football Pundits staff team on Starting 11 – and with the array of superstar players on show, it give us all a chance to create a world-class team for Sunday’s fixtures.
INFO: Starting 11 is a daily fantasy football game which is completely free to play, so please join me and the Fantasy Football Pundits staff by downloading the FREE Starting 11 app in the App Store or Google Play Store.
Dele Alli vs. Crystal Palace (h)
The England international midfielder looks set to go on one of his explosive points scoring runs, having scored 3 goals in his last 3 games for Tottenham after bagging a brace in the Champions League against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
The midfield dynamo now has 7 goals in 13 games across all competitions for Tottenham and looks set to hit a rich vein of purple form, with fantasy managers across all formats, scrambling to pick him up for Gameweek 11.
Tottenham face Crystal Palace at 12pm on Sunday and whilst most expect a comfortable home win at Wembley, The Eagles have had a roller coaster few weeks – beating Chelsea 2-1, they then suffered a last gasp defeat to Newcastle and then snatched a last-minute draw against West Ham.
If Spurs are to continue with their impressive run of form and performances of late as we head in to the international break, Dele Alli is likely to be pulling the strings and making things happen.
Alvaro Morata vs. Manchester United (h)
After a short spell out of the Chelsea team with a hamstring injury, Alvaro Morata is now back to full match-fitness and looks set to lead the line against Manchester United in Gameweek 11.
Chelsea face a Jose Mourinho side that’s one of the most defensive units, having kept 5 clean-sheets in their last 6 Premier League outings, so why is Morata in this weeks hot picks?
Well, Chelsea got a footballing lesson handed to them midweek in the Champions League after getting beat 3-0 by AS Roma, where Conte’s side badly missed the stability and confidence that N’golo Kante brings to his starting 11.
Kante, however, looks set to return to against Manchester United this Sunday, allowing the likes of Hazard, Pedro and Morata to push further up the pitch and do what they do best.
I believe that form goes out the window in games like this and with Chelsea hurting from their Champs League spankin’, I expect them to come out all-guns-blazing at Stamford Bridge and stick it to United.
Kevin De Bruyne vs. Arsenal (h)
With the likes of Silva, Sterling and Sane causing fantasy football bosses a weekly headache caused by Pep’s rotation roulette, Kevin De Bruyne has started in all 10 Premier League outings for City this season.
Still playing in the deep half-back role KDB is still ticking along nicely for fantasy owners, with 3 assist and 1 goal in his last 4 Premier League games.
Manchester City face a tough test on paper this Sunday, as Arsenal have performed well at The Etihad the last couple of seasons, losing only losing one in their last 9 matches.
However, unless something drastically goes wrong with how Man City setup and play this weekend, Pep weapons are far superior and well-oiled to those of Wenger’s in my opinion, with only one outcome looking likely.
With Man City scoring goals for fun and finding the back of the net 13 times in their last 3 Premier League fixtures, expect plenty of goals in this fixture, with Kun, KDB and Jesus likely to cause Mertesaker all kinds of problems.
Spurs defence vs. Palace (h)
With the amount so-called top 6 sides facing each other this Sunday, defensive points may be slim pickings – but we have a knight in shining armour in the shape of Spurs defence.
Fantasy managers have had much success picking Spurs defensive assets this season, with 5 clean sheets already registered, their full-backs have also weighed in with attacking returns.
Poch has a tendency to rotate his full backs as he’s spoilt for choice right now, but this can make picking defensive assets tricky sometimes – however this is the first match on Super Sunday so we will have chance to assess the situation ahead of submitting our Starting 11 line-ups.
Whoever starts at full-back out of Rose, Davies, Aurier and Trippier there’s a good chance they’ll be amongst the points over the 90 minutes, if they get the upper hand on Crystal Palace.
BEFORE YOU GO: If you’re new or still not familiar with how Starting 11 fantasy football works, it couldn’t be simpler – it’s a daily fantasy game where we’re required to pick an 11-man team for one day only – without any team budget or player salary restrictions!
There are NO player values and NO team budgets – leaving you to pick what YOU think will be the best scoring 11-man-team across Sunday’s Gameweek 10 fixtures.
