The FPL Captains Poll - Gameweek 19

12:20pm Dec 28 2016

Start your New Year with a bang and bag yourself an FPL double-digit points haul from your Gameweek 19 Captain

Hello and welcome to all Fantasy Premier League managers around the world – we hope you’ve had a very Merry Christmas with your families and friends, but now’s the time to get back to business as we look ahead to Friday’s Gameweek 19 19:00 deadline.

With only a few days between Gameweek 18 and 19, FPL managers could find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation when it comes to deciding on who to captain this week.

Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero returns to action this week after serving his 4-match-match ban. The £12.8m front-man has been transferred IN by around 20,000 FPL bosses at the time of writing this article, but expect that number to rise pretty rapidly come Friday afternoon.

Chelsea’s top scorer Diego Costa will also be available for selection this weekend having served his 1-match-ban for picking up his 5th yellow card of the season in Gameweek 17. The £10.7m striker is the most transferred IN player for Gameweek 19 as many of us look to buy him back again.

Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the 2nd most transferred IN player ahead of Gameweek 19 (45,000) – Delivering returns of 15, 12 and 11 over the last three gameweeks, his price continues to rise, as does his popularity amongst the FPL community.

With many FPL bosses losing faith in Harry Kane, Jermain Defoe and now Theo Walcott (due to his injury flag), others frantically seek ways to accommodate Zlatan, Costa and Aguero in to their fantasy teams without taking a huge points-hit.

Have you got the answer to this weeks captaincy conundrum?

Either way, please post your Gameweek 19 captaincy pick to our poll below and be sure to share with your friends via social media.
