Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero will NOT wear the captains armband for @_FPLtips in Gameweek 8
After using the wildcard last Gameweek, there hopefully isn’t too much of a need for changes this weekend and here’s a look at how the team is likely to shape up:

Wolves didn’t allow Southampton a single ‘big chance’ in Gameweek 7 and Rui Patricio has now kept 3 clean sheets over the last 4 Gameweeks, conceding just once over that period.
In Gameweek 8, he’s up against a Crystal Palace side that have scored just 2 goals across their last 4 matches; on par with Huddersfield and Newcastle.
Marcos Alonso and Andrew Robertson remain in the starting lineup and it’s a tough game for the Reds once again, as they host league leaders Man City.
Liverpool have conceded 3 times in the last 4 Gameweeks; only Chelsea (2), Man City (1) and Wolves (1) have allowed fewer goals in that time.
Jürgen Klopp’s side are, however, the only side yet to concede a single goal on home turf this season, conceding just 1 ‘big chance’ across their three home fixtures.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka replaces Ryan Bennett in the starting lineup this week, ahead of the game between Crystal Palace and Wolves.
Roy Hodgson’s side have kept 3 clean sheets this season, with 2 of those coming in their last 3 matches and Wan-Bissaka has picked up maximum bonus points on each occasion.
No midfielder has taken more than Eden Hazard’s 7 shots on target over the last 4 Gameweeks, with only Harry Kane producing more across all positions.
7 goals conceded by Southampton over the last 4 Gameweeks ranks them joint 14th; with only Brighton (8), Bournemouth (9), Fulham (9) and Cardiff (14) shipping more goals in that time.
James Maddison has found FPL returns in each of his last 4 matches, with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Only Hazard and Sterling have been directly involved in more goals amongst midfielders, during that period, while no player has produced more than the 21-year-old’s tally of 13 attempted assists.
Gudmundsson has been directly involved in 4 goals across the last 3 Gameweeks, since making his return from injury.
Burnley host a Huddersfield side that have conceded 16 goals this season, which is on par with Cardiff and Fulham; no team have shipped more goals.
Despite failing to return points against Fulham, Richarlison provided 2 attempted assists and took 5 goal attempts, with 3 from inside the box. So, the underlying numbers remain positive for the Brazilian winger, ahead of Everton’s away trip to Leicester in Gameweek 8.
Harry Kane is giving FPL managers a real headache at the moment, with some tricky fixtures coming up between Gameweek 9 and Gameweek 14, after a very appetising home game against Cardiff up next.
Only 14% of the top 1,000 teams owned the Spurs forward for his brace in Gameweek 7, compared to Hazard and Aguero’s respective 89% and 92% ownership amongst that group of managers.
Kane has taken more shots on target (8) and been involved in more ‘big chances’ (6) than any other player, over the last 4 Gameweeks and 14 goals conceded by Cardiff over that period is at least 5 more than any other side.
Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sergio Aguero is still not 100%, after suffering a knock against Newcastle a few weeks ago and he could perhaps continue to have his minutes managed.
But despite the lack of gametime, the Argentine has taken more total shots (22) and shots inside the box (13) than any other player, over the last 4 Gameweeks.
11 shots inside the box by Aleksandar Mitrovic over the last 4 Gameweeks can be bettered by only Jiménez – with 12, Kane – with 13 and Aguero – with 18.
The Fulham striker has scored 3 of his 5 goals at home this season, taking 8 of his 12 efforts on target at Craven Cottage.
Arsenal have kept back-to-back clean sheets but they’re yet to record one away from home this season, conceding an average of 2 goals per game, on their travels
Playing the wildcard last week was largely based around Harry Kane’s fixtures against Huddersfield and Cardiff and the plan was always to give the Spurs forward the captaincy for Gameweek 8.
He’s got the form and the fixture, in a week where Aguero and Salah face each other, while Eden Hazard plays away from home.
So, if you’ve got the Spurs man in your team, giving him the armband looks like a fairly straight-forward decision.
