Roberto Firmino – Liverpool (sou)

With around 3% of the vote, Roberto Firmino finds himself in 5th place in the FFPundits captaincy poll as Liverpool travel to face a Southampton side that were beaten by Hull in their last outing. Saints have now suffered back-to-back defeats and have won just once from their last 5 games, conceding 6 goals during that period. Firmino has returned 2 goals and 3 assists in his last 4 games, whilst producing 8 shots on target and 10 attempted assists.

Philippe Coutinho – Liverpool (sou)

Philippe Coutinho has received around 4% of the vote, placing him in 4th place in the poll. The Brazilian midfielder is expected to be rushed back to Liverpool on a private jet, along with teammate, Roberto Firmino, following international duty.

Coutinho has matched Firmino’s return of 2 goals and 3 assists in the last 4 Gameweeks, whilst producing 7 shots on target and 14 attempted assists.

Eden Hazard – Chelsea (mid)

In 3rd place, with around 14% of the vote, it’s Eden Hazard, as Chelsea take on Middlesbrough away from home. Despite only conceding 6 times at home this season, it will be a big ask for Middlesbrough to keep out a Chelsea side that have scored 16 goals during their last 5 games; more than any other team in the
league.

Despite a small injury concern, Hazard is expected to be fit for Gameweek 12, after Belgium manager, Roberto Martinez, played down the injury in his post-match interview. Hazard will be looking to continue his good run of form, after scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists in his last 4 games.

Romelu Lukaku – Everton (SWA)

With around 27% of the vote, it’s Romelu Lukaku. Everton host a struggling Swansea side that sit 19th in the league table, having lost 4 of their last 5 games,

whilst conceding 11 goals in the same period. Only Crystal Palace and Hull have conceded more goals than Swansea during the last 5 Gameweeks. Everton will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 5-0 defeat to Chelsea in their last outing. Lukaku has been involved in 4 goals during the last 4 Gameweeks, scoring twice and providing 2 assists.

Sergio Aguero – Man City (CRY)

Leading the captaincy poll, with 42% of the vote, is Sergio Aguero, as Man City travel to Crystal Palace. It’s been a tough spell for the home side, who now sit 16th in the league table, following 4 consecutive defeats.

Their 12 goals conceded in the last 5 Gameweeks is matched by Hull and no team have conceded more goals during that period. Aguero has been involved in 4 of Man City’s last 5 goals, scoring 3 times and providing 1 assist.

His 8 shots on target during the last 4 Gameweeks, puts him level with Hazard and Firmino, and no player in the league has managed more.
