@_FPLtips’s daily fantasy football team selection for Saturday’s Premier Gameweek 7 Premier League fixtures

Welcome back to another preview for Starting 11’s daily fantasy football app, with free-to-play and cash games available for the Premier League.

This week, we’ll be entering a team for Starting 11’s Gameweek 7 Saturday contest, which features 8 fixtures:

West Ham vs Man Utd
Arsenal vs Watford
Everton vs Fulham
Huddersfield vs Spurs
Man City vs Brighton
Newcastle vs Leicester
Wolves vs Southampton
Chelsea vs Liverpool

Rui Patricio has averaged 3.75 saves per game over the last 4 Gameweeks, keeping 2 clean sheets and conceding just 2 goals, despite facing Man Utd and Man City over that period.

In Gameweek 7, Wolves face a Southampton side that have scored just 6 goals this season; only 5 teams have managed fewer.

Man City offer a good chance of a clean sheet when they host Brighton this weekend, a side that have managed just 2 away goals so far this season; only Newcastle and Cardiff have scored fewer (1).

But with uncertainty surrounding Benjamin Mendy’s availability, we turn to Kyle Walker on the opposite flank.

Kieran Trippier looks set to return to the starting XI to face Huddersfield, after his rest in the EFL Cup midweek.

Over the last 5 Gameweeks, 9 chances created by the right-back is joint-top amongst defenders, along with Robertson and more than any of his Spurs teammates have produced, beating Eriksen – with 8.

Set pieces have been a key factor here, with Trippier taking 20 Spurs corners during this period (last 5 GWs), compared to Eriksen’s 4.

Liverpool face a tough test this weekend, travelling away to Chelsea but no Premier League side have kept more clean sheets (4) or conceded fewer goals (2) this season.

Andrew Robertson has proven to be one of the best attacking defenders in the opening 6 weeks, creating 11 chances and providing 2 assists.

Bernardo Silva provided a goal and assist during Man City’s 5-0 win over Cardiff last weekend and looks set to keep his starting place, having been afforded a rest midweek.

Over the last 4 Gameweeks, his tally of 10 chances created is level with David Silva and Salah.

Dele Alli returned to the starting lineup midweek and was instrumental in Spurs beating Watford, scoring from the spot during the 90 minutes, before later stepping up again to score the winning penalty in the shootout.

Over the first 4 Gameweeks, prior to his injury, the England midfielder had levelled Mané and Agüero’s 6 shots on target, with only Salah (7), Jesus, Lukaku (8) and Mitrovic (9) producing more.

Perhaps he can return to that form against a Huddersfield side that have conceded 14 goals this season, giving them the joint-worst defensive record so far, along with Cardiff.

James Maddison has been on the radar for a few weeks now and after his free kick goal against Huddersfield, he’s fired a respectable tally of 5 efforts on target in the last 4 Gameweeks.

His 9 chances created in that time is just one fewer than Mo Salah and David Silva have produced, ahead of Leicester’s meeting with Newcastle in Gameweek 7.

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey set up both goals during the 2-0 win over Everton last weekend and his tally of 10 chances created over the last 4 Gameweeks is on par with Salah and David Silva.

The Welshman has found the target with 4 of his 5 goal attempts during that period; a tally beaten by only Lacazette amongst teammates – with 6.

Sergio Agüero found his 4th goal of the season, during the win over Cardiff in Gameweek 6, taking a total of 6 efforts at goal, with 3 on target.

No player has taken more than the Argentine’s 31 shots this season, beating Mitrovic – with 28 and Salah – with 25.

Harry Kane has looked far from his best in the opening weeks of the season, having managed just 4 shots on target over his first 5 matches.

But he equalled that tally in a single game against Brighton last weekend, taking more efforts on target than any other player in Gameweek 6 (4), beating Vardy and Aguero – with 3.

Finally, the in-form Eden Hazard completes the team, following his incredible winning goal against Liverpool in the EFL Cup midweek.

His 6 efforts on target over the last 4 Gameweeks, is level with Sterling and Salah; only Lukaku, Schürrle and Mitrovic have taken more.

If Chelsea are to take anything from the game against Liverpool, this man will surely play a part.

Captaincy Selection

Harry Kane is a tempting captaincy option away to Huddersfield but it’s hard to ignore the form of Sergio Agüero, before a meeting with Brighton.

The Man City forward has been a strong captaincy contender at home this season, with 7 of his 8 goal involvements so far coming at the Etihad, in games against Huddersfield, Newcastle and Fulham.
