It’s also worth pointing out that the scoring on Starting 11 is different to that of Fantasy Premier League – you can see a full breakdown of their scoring system here.

Points are still awarded for goals, assists and clean-sheets – however, points for passing, tackles shots on target are also up for grabs!

West Ham have kept clean sheets in 2 of their last 4 matches and during that period, only Liverpool (2) have conceded fewer goals (3) and only 5 teams allowed opponents fewer shots from inside the box (24).

Lukasz Fabianski has made an average of 3.8 saves per game this season and Burnley’s Joe Hart (73) is the only goalkeeper to have produced more than his total of 66 saves.

After being rested for Man City’s EFL Cup win midweek, Aymeric Laporte is set to return at centre-back for this weekend’s home fixture against Crystal Palace.

Only Liverpool have conceded fewer goals (6 to 2) or shots inside the box (38 to 30) than Man City during home matches this season and Crystal Palace have scored just 14 times this season; Huddersfield are the only side to score fewer goals (10).

Marcos Alonso has been directly involved in 8 goals this season (1 goal, 7 assists) and the left-back struck the woodwork against Brighton last weekend.

The Chelsea defence has been resolute at Stamford Bridge, conceding only 7 goals; only Spurs (6), Man City (6) and Liverpool (2) have conceded fewer on home turf.

Leicester have failed to score in their last 2 league games and only Burnley have scored fewer goals in the last 6 Gameweeks (3 to 4).

Sead Kolasinac wasn’t part of Arsenal’s squad midweek but could be in line to return at the weekend, when Burnley visit the Emirates, after being pictured on his way to training earlier in the week.

The Bosnian created 12 chances between Gameweek 11 and Gameweek 16; with Lucas Digne (17) the only defender to produce more during that time.

No side have scored fewer goals (5) or taken fewer shots on target (19) than Burnley over the last 6 Gameweeks, while only Huddersfield have recorded fewer big chances (4 to 8).

An assist for Felipe Anderson last weekend means the Brazilian has now been directly involved in 9 league goals this season (3 goals, 6 assists) and it’s Watford who travel to the London Stadium this weekend, having failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 7 matches.

During the same period, 10 shots on target by the West Ham midfielder ranks level with Salah and only Kane has taken more – with 14.

All 4 of Ryan Fraser’s goals this season have come at home against teams outside of the top 6, so a home fixture against Brighton in Gameweek 18 looks favourable for the Scotland international.

Only Fulham (176) and Burnley (202) have allowed opponents more shots from inside the box than Brighton (172) this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s appointment as Manchester United manager is likely to see a return for Paul Pogba, who was reported to be on bad terms with Jose Mourinho.

In 14 league appearances this season, the Frenchman provided a tally of 3 goals and 3 assists and his totals of 21 efforts on target and 17 chances created each ranked top amongst teammates.

United’s Gameweek 18 opponents are Cardiff, who have conceded 33 goals this season; only Fulham (42) have shipped more.

Arsenal host Burnley this weekend, having scored a total of 37 league goals so far this season; only Man City have scored more (48).

Over the last 6 Gameweeks, the Clarets have conceded 69 shots inside the box, which is more than any other side have allowed.

Mesut Özil was left out of the squad against Spurs midweek and could be in line for a recall at the weekend, though Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains an alternative.

Eden Hazard recovered from his knock to score off the bench against Bournemouth midweek and looks set to return to the starting lineup in Gameweek 18, when Leicester travel to Stamford Bridge.

No player has created more chances than Hazard (13) in the last 4 Gameweeks or been directly involved in more goals (6).

Raheem Sterling was only used off the bench midweek, while Leroy Sané was given the night off, so the pair look set to feature from the start against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Man City have scored 20 goals across their last 5 home league matches, at an astounding average of 4 goals per game.

Over the last 5 Gameweeks, no player has provided more than Sané’s 7 goal involvements (3 goals, 4 assists) and only Firmino (8) and Son (9) have taken more than his 7 efforts on target.

Captaincy Selection

It’s a close call for captaincy but Raheem Sterling has provided 7 goals and 3 assists during his 6 appearances against non-top 6 sides at the Etihad this season; returning at least 1 goal on each occasion.

So it’s the England international who takes the armband, ahead of the meeting with Crystal Palace.
