Leicester City’s James Maddison is red-hot property as we head in to FPL Gameweek 13.

A quick recap of last week’s series – my selected Hotshot in Gameweek 12 Diego Rico failed to register a clean sheet in a 2-1 loss to Newcastle and is up against Wolves at home this week.
Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling also failed to justify my Hold call when he (and City) disappointed against Liverpool.
This week, ahead of the Gameweek 12 schedule, I (@ohheyystranger) I explore two players who are a hot topic of conversation amongst the Fantasy Premier League community.
James Maddison – Leicester
£7.5m | 21.7% owned | previous FPL fixture – 9pts vs. Arsenal (H)
Leicester will be hoping that James Maddison shakes off his calf injury picked up during international duty with England when they visit Brighton on Saturday.
Maddison has been in fine form in the last 3 game weeks, racking up 26 FPL points from 2 goals, 1 assist and 3 clean sheets to top it off.
He is the fifth highest FPL midfielder at 62 points, just 5 points behind £12M Raheem Sterling.
With Leicester and Jamie Vardy in particular lighting up the Premier League on current form, there is an abundance of players that you could choose from Leicester, but Maddison has to be the pick in midfield given that he is on set piece duties.
Last season, Maddison recorded 7 goals and 7 FPL assists, and he has already achieved half those total this season with 4 goals and 3 assists up to game week 12.
There is of course limited space in your squad of a player in Maddison’s price bracket, with Anthony Martial the other appealing option, but Leicester have 2 back to back home fixtures after their trip to Brighton, after which they will face Aston Villa away and Norwich at home.
Next 3 fixtures: Brighton (A), Everton (H), Watford (H).
> Verdict: Buy
Teemu Pukki – Norwich
£6.7m | 20.5% owned | Gameweek 12 score – 2pts vs. Watford (H)
So, the belief that Pukki should score at home has been proven untrue after 3 blanks at home, and the striker has not scored in 7 matches (623 minutes).
Pukki registered only 6 shots on target in that period since their fairy tale win over defending champions Man City in September.
However, there are still loyalist who refuse to sell despite this hoping for a turn in fortunes.
A brace in a 3-0 win over Liechtenstein while on duty with Finland, plus a goal in a defeat to Greece gives some glimmer of hope to loyal FPL managers that the goal scoring engine is still running.
Despite that, international form is rarely an indicator of domestic league form, so FPL managers should already look to off load the Finn, as it would be too much of a gamble to hold on to him with very tricky immediate fixtures to negotiate.
Next 3 fixtures: Everton (A), Arsenal (H), Southampton (A).
> Verdict: Sell
