Spurs midfielder Dele Alli is the most transferred in player for Gameweek 15, and rightly so.

A quick recap of last week’s series – Last week’s Hotshot in Gameweek 14, Ben Chilwell, was unable to help Leicester to a fifth consecutive clean sheet, but saw fellow defender Ricardo Pereira provide an assist for Leicester’s winner.

Anthony Martial’s was last week’s Stray Shot, but his time should be up for most FPL managers after an underwhelming performance in a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa at home.

This week, ahead of the midweek Gameweek 15 schedule, I (@ohheyystranger) will discuss two players who are a hot topic of conversation amongst the Fantasy Premier League community.

Dele Alli – Spurs

A rejuvenated Dele Alli scored his first 2 Premier League goals in the Jose Mourinho era in the home win against Bournemouth.

This follows up his assist in Mourinho’s first game in charge, making it 20 FPL points in two matches for the attacking midfielder.

He now has 4 goals and 1 assist since his return to the starting XI this season, achieving that in 6 league starts, which is an average of 6.83 point per match.

Alli’s average returns are better than that of popular team mate Heung Min Son, who averages 6.63 points in 11 starts and costs £1.3 million more.

Interestingly, Alli has taken more shots on goal compared to Son and Harry Kane since Mourinho took over, taking a total of 7 shots against 5 for Kane and 4 for Son.

Playing higher up alongside Kane is obviously working to Alli’s advantage and Spurs play Man United next, a team who has conceded 5 goals in 2 matches.

Next 3 fixtures for Spurs are Man Utd (A), Burnley (H), Wolves (A)

Stray Shot

Anthony Martial – Man United

£7.8m | 8.5% owned | last FPL fixture – 2pts vs. Aston Villa (H)

Anthony Martial feature for the second consecutive week after he again failed to register any returns since Gameweek 12 despite having a good FPL record at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman only came alive in the second half against Aston Villa, and managed 3 shots including a skied shot midway in the half.

United losing Scott McTominay has exposed their weakness in midfield and their failure to control the midfield is affecting the service to Martial.

With the next two fixtures against Tottenham and local rival Man City visibly tough hurdles for United, Martial’s chances to get any significant FPL returns are slim.

However, keep an eye on the return of McTominay as this could reinvigorate both United’s midfield and Martial.

Man Utd’s next fixtures after are Spurs (H), Man City (A), Everton (H).
