P.E. Aubameyang – £11.1.m | 25.7% owned
Fixtures: SOU, BOU, tot, MUN, –
Aubameyang boasts an impressive record against teams outside of the ‘top six’ this season, returning 13 goals and 5 assists from 17 matches and averaging 7.6 points per game.
The 29-year-old directly contributed to 7 goals (5 goals, 2 assists) in his last 8 league outings (GW18-25) and his total of 19 shots inside the box was behind only Mitrovic (22), Barnes (23) and Rashford (25) amongst forwards.
A tally of 8 big chances for the Gabonese striker in that time was bettered by only Salah (9) and Barnes (11) across all positions.
Arsenal have won 3 of their last 4 league matches, losing only to Man City. Their total of 11 goals scored in the last 6 Gameweeks can only be bettered by the league leaders (20).
There are some more tricky fixtures to come for the Gunners and they’ll be without a fixture in Gameweek 31 but the next two home fixtures (SOU & BOU) are hard to ignore.
Southampton have conceded 22 goals in 8 matches against the ‘top six’ this season, at an average of 2.75 per game.
No side have allowed opponents more big chances in the last 4 away matches than Bournemouth (16), while only Chelsea have conceded more goals (12 to 11).
Marko Arnautovic – £6.8m | 6.7% owned
Fixtures: FUL, mci, NEW, car, HUD
Arnautovic made a return from injury against Crystal Palace in Gameweek 26 and comes back onto the radar for West Ham’s favourable run of fixtures, as a potential alternative to Felipe Anderson.
No West Ham teammate has been involved in more big chances (10) or fired as many goal attempts (42) as the Austrian international this season and he’s taken an average of 1.2 shots on target per game, compared to Felipe Anderson’s average of 0.7.
The Hammers have only scored 3 goals from 6 big chances in the last 5 Gameweeks, facing home ties with Arsenal and Liverpool in that time but they’ve netted a total of 29 goals in 18 matches against teams outside of the ‘top six’ this season, at an average of 1.6 per game.
They have a very kind schedule over the next 6 Gameweeks, including a home fixture against Huddersfield in Gameweek 31, when a number of teams see their matches postponed due to the FA Cup.
The Terriers have conceded 22 goals this season, with only Cardiff (23) and Fulham (26) shipping more and all 3 teams face West Ham in the next 5 Gameweeks.
Sadio Mané – £9.6m | 21.6% owned
Fixtures: mun, WAT, eve, BUR, ful
Mané found his 12th league goal of the season during the win over Bournemouth in Gameweek 26 and he’s now scored in each of the last 4 Gameweeks, averaging 8.0 points per game over that spell.
No midfielder took more efforts on target (8) or from inside the box (12) during that period, while only Pogba (38) and Sterling (40) returned more than his 32 FPL points.
Liverpool have scored 10 goals across the last 5 Gameweeks, with only Wolves (11) and Man City (18) producing more, while only Man Utd (35) and Man City (41) have fired more than their 30 efforts on target.
The Reds face a trip to Fulham in Gameweek 31 and their assets will be especially important for those looking to navigate the ‘Blank Gameweek’ without using a chip.
Only Chelsea (13) have conceded more goals than Fulham (11) in the last 5 Gameweeks, while only Chelsea (14) and Brighton (15) have allowed opponents more big chances than Everton (13).
Watford meanwhile have faced 25 efforts on target in the last 4 away matches, with only Arsenal (30) allowing more.
Ricardo Pereira – £5.3m | 12.7% owned
Fixtures: CRY, BHA, wat, FUL, bur
Pereira recorded his 8th attacking return of the season with an assist against Spurs last Gameweek, producing a total of 4 attempted assists during the game.
Amongst defenders, only Robertson, Alonso and Holebas (each 7) have registered more than his 6 assists, while only Holebas (10 to 8) has provided more FPL involvements.
Leicester have failed to win any of their last 5 matches but they’ve faced 3 of the top 4 sides in the last 3 Gameweeks.
Despite conceding 8 goals over that period, only 5 teams allowed opponents fewer efforts on target than the Foxes (17), while only Southampton (5), Liverpool (4), Spurs (3) and Man City (2) conceded fewer big chances (6).
Leicester don’t face a single ‘top six’ side over the next 9 Gameweeks, with Crystal Palace, Brighton and Fulham the next 3 teams to visit the King Power Stadium.
Fulham have scored only 3 goals in their last 6 away matches, with only Huddersfield (2) and Bournemouth (1) managing fewer.
No side have taken fewer than Watford’s 14 efforts on target during the same period.
