Liverpool’s Mo Salah is the likely captaincy candidate for the FPLTips team in Gameweek 22, but which transfers are they considering?

The Gameweeks are coming thick and fast and we go again on Tuesday, with a 4:30pm UK deadline.
Gameweek 21 Review
Pep Guardiola made 5 changes to his side for the 1-0 win over Sheffield Utd, which saw Cancelo drop out as an unused sub.
The decision to bring Sterling in ahead of Son didn’t get off to the best of starts, with the Englishman another player to be hit by rotation.
But that does mean that captaincy will now fall to Mo Salah and Soucek will come into the XI.
Gundogan continued to make clever forward runs and take up some advanced positions against the Blades but the ball just didn’t quite fall to him.
Man Utd’s goalless draw with Arsenal saw Bruno Fernandes fail to score for a fifth successive league match; neither of his 2 shots found the target.
After 6 matches without scoring, Che Adams was dropped to the bench against Aston Villa but did look lively in his 25-minute cameo, where he missed 2 big chances.
Transfer Plans
There are still Gameweek 21 matches to be played at the time of recording but the current plan is to save a free transfer.
The team is in relatively good shape and there’s likely to be a Double Gameweek 24 to come, involving either Everton or Southampton playing Man City, so it would be good to know which team is set to feature there before making the next move.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Danny Ings are the two players under consideration.
Here’s how the team is set to line-up as things stand:
Gameweek 22 Preview
Goalkeeper
There’s a decision to be made between the sticks once again and even though West Brom’s defensive form has been poor, it’s tempting to bench Pope against Man City.
Johnstone has made 19 saves in his last 4 appearances but the problem has been the number of goals conceded alongside them.
However, he is up against a Sheffield Utd side that have scored just 4 in their last 6 matches; only Southampton (2) have managed fewer.
Defenders
There’s a 50-50 decision between Coufal and Dallas but the West Ham defender may just get the nod due to his side’s superior defensive numbers.
Prior to the Liverpool game, the Hammers have conceded just 2 big chances in their last 4 matches; only Leicester and Man City (each 1) have fared better in that respect.
Justin faces a Fulham side that have struggled for goals, with just 1 in their last 4 at Craven Cottage.
After his rest at the weekend, Cancelo will be expected to come back into the XI to face Burnley.
Man City have kept clean sheets in each of their last 5 matches, allowing opponents a total of just 1 big chance in that time.
Midfielders
With a tough matchup against Man Utd for Adams, he drops out to accommodate Soucek in a five-man midfield.
Neither Bruno Fernandes nor Salah have been in great form of late but they have favourable home matches against Southampton and Brighton, respectively.
Saints were unfortunate not to get anything from the game with Aston Villa on Saturday but that’s now three consecutive defeats for them.
Only Fulham and West Brom (each 10) have conceded more big chances than their 8 over the last 3 Gameweeks.
Man City have put 17 goals past Burnley in their last 4 meetings in all competitions; an average of 4.3 per game.
Sterling has averaged 6.7 points per 90 minutes across the last 5 Gameweeks, with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Forwards
Everton have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 4 matches, conceding 5 goals and 7 big chances in that time, which bodes well for Bamford.
Antonio faces an Aston Villa side that have kept 2 clean sheets in their last 6 matches.
But only 4 teams have shipped more goals than their 8 and only Chelsea (14), Leeds (16), Fulham and West Brom (each 17) have conceded more big chances than their 12.
Captaincy Selection
The three big hitters in midfield are all in contention for captaincy.
Sterling perhaps is the most secure of a start in these busy times, after his rest against Sheff Utd.
But Salah looked sharp against Spurs and was unlucky to see his well-taken goal ruled out due to a handball by Firmino in the build-up.
Brighton have shipped 14 goals in 7 matches against the ‘big six’ plus Leicester this season, so it’s likely to be the Egyptian who takes the armband.
