Liverpool’s Sadio Mane likely to wear captains armband against Huddersfield in FPL Gameweek 36
Sadio Mané is set to come in with the free transfer this week and by freeing up the cash with Ings last Gameweek, it’s Eriksen who can make way as opposed to Sterling.
The idea there is that, with Spurs advancing in the Champions League, rotation may become more of a factor for them, whereas Man City only have the Premier League to focus on now.
10 goals by Mané during this calendar year (GW21-35) ranks top amongst midfielders in the game and a home fixture against Huddersfield up next brings him into contention for captaincy.
Here’s how the team is set to line up for Gameweek 36:

Lloris has kept 3 consecutive clean sheets in the new stadium and Spurs host London rivals West Ham this weekend.
The Hammers have found only 1 goal across their last 4 away matches, faring worse than every other team in the league in that respect, while only Brighton (5) and Wolves (4) fired fewer efforts on target (9 for West Ham).
Liverpool kept their 19th clean sheet of the season against Cardiff, with Man City ranking just behind them, on 17.
The pair have the chance to extend those tallies with favourable fixtures against Huddersfield and Burnley this weekend, as they battle it out for the Premier League title.
Despite facing 52 goal attempts in their Double Gameweek 35 matches, Brighton only shipped the 1 goal, so Duffy gets the nod over Doherty and Valery, ahead of Newcastle’s visit to the Amex.
A tally of 33 shots from inside the box by Mané during this calendar year (GW21-35) can only be bettered by teammate Mo Salah (34), while Babel (11) is the only midfield rival to register more than his 10 big chances.
No side have conceded more goals than the Terriers (18) over the last 6 matches, while only Watford (20) and West Ham (21) have faced more big chances (19 for Huddersfield).
Heung-Min Son looks likely to feature from the start against West Ham, being suspended for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
The Hammers have conceded 8 goals in the last 4 matches, with only Huddersfield (12) shipping more.
A total of 14 shots inside the box for Sterling in the last 6 Gameweeks can only be bettered by Salah (17) amongst midfielders, while his involvement in 5 big chances ranks joint-1st.
Despite conceding only 3 goals in the last 4 matches, Burnley have allowed opponents 10 big chances during that time.
Deulofeu returned from injury to score twice in the Double Gameweek and his total of 7 efforts on target in the last 6 Gameweeks ranks level with Sterling.
Wolves rank 8th best with a tally of 19 goals conceded this calendar year but have only kept clean sheets in 3 out of 14 games.
Diogo Jota is an alternative option but providing he looks set to return to the XI, the plan is to field Danny Ings, ahead of Southampton’s meeting with Bournemouth.
Only Huddersfield (39) and Fulham (44) have conceded more away goals than the Cherries (37) this season.
An assist against Spurs saw Agüero pick up his 30th FPL involvement of the season and Guardiola appears unlikely to rotate much in these remaining weeks, with a title on the line.
Jiménez completes the team, ahead of a trip to Watford, with the Mexican having been directly involved in 10 goals (6 goals, 4 assists) across his last 14 matches.
A tally of 8 big chances created in that time ranks top amongst forwards.
Heung-Min Son and the Man City assets provide captain options but it’s hard to look past Liverpool’s home meeting with Huddersfield for the armband.
Mané and Salah are likely to be strong Triple Captain contenders for those who have that chip remaining, so the safest move for the rest of us will be to at least make one of them our captain.
