The Watchlist series is back to identify some key players who caught the eye in Gameweek 9, ahead of the upcoming Fantasy Premier League schedule.

Here are three future transfer targets ahead of Gameweek 10 for both the @FFPundits and @_FPLTips teams.

As always, we have provided you with both a video and written version of our Gameweek 10 Watchlist preview.

Please note that all players prices and ownership percentages were correct at the time of recording and writing.

Jamie Vardy – 10.2M | 25.5% owned

Next 3 fixtures: Fulham (H), Sheff United (A), Brighton (H)

FPLTips Gameweek 10 - Jamie Vardy

Liverpool restricted Vardy to 2 shots in their comfortable 3-0 win but only Firmino (10) and Mané (9) took more than his 6 touches in the opposition’s box during the match.

The 33-year-old missed a big chance at Anfield and has now had a total of 7 big chances in the last 4 Gameweeks; only Bamford has been afforded more – with 8.

The Leeds forward is also the only player able to better Vardy’s 8 shots on target in that time, taking 9.

Leicester enjoy a fixture swing from Gameweek 10, with three very favourable matches back-to-back.

They first host Fulham; a side that have shipped 18 goals this season, with only West Brom equalling that tally.

The Baggies (23) have been the only side to concede more big chances than Fulham (21).

Meetings with Sheffield Utd and Brighton then follow; they’ve each conceded 15 goals, with only 5 teams faring worse.

Kevin De Bruyne – 11.6M | 17.8% owned

Next 3 fixtures: Burnley (H), Fulham (H), Man United (A)

FPLTips Gameweek 10 - Kevin de Bruyne

De Bruyne looked frustrated to come away empty handed against Spurs, having taken 6 shots and attempted 3 assists.

His 9 touches in the opposition’s box could only be beaten by Gabriel Jesus amongst players from either side – with 10 for the Brazilian.

The Belgium international is yet to score since Gameweek 1 and has amassed just 2 assists since then, averaging 2.7 points per game across his last 6 outings.

But his 21 shots during that period ranks joint-top amongst FPL midfielders, level with Salah and Bruno Fernandes.

He ranks 4th for attempted assists, while only Kane, Digne, Fernandes (each 5) and Grealish (7) have created more big chances than his 4.

Man City have been unusually quiet in front of goal this season, netting just 10 times across their opening 8 matches.

After the same number of games last season, they’d scored a league-best 27 goals and had fashioned 37 big chances compared to their current total of just 16.

But their generous upcoming schedule can help them get back on track.

Raheem Sterling – 11.5M | 4.6% owned

Next 3 fixtures: Burnley (H), Fulham (H), Man United (A)

FPLTips Gameweek 10 - Raheem Sterling

Sterling was named on the bench for the defeat to Spurs, having complained of a minor calf problem over the international break.

The Englishman struggled to make much of an impact during his 18-minute cameo, completing just 4 passes in the final third and firing just one attempt at goal.

As you’d expect, the lack of goals and quality chances for Man City as a whole has seen a decline in Sterling’s returns this season compared to last.

After 8 matches last season, he’d netted 6 goals compared to his current total of just 2 and had averaged 6.8 points per game compared to just 4.3.

In matches against the ‘bottom six’ teams last season, he averaged 9.3 points per game.

But will the improvement in fixtures as well as the return of a certain Sergio Aguero help Sterling recapture the form he’s shown in previous seasons?

City face Burnley, Fulham, West Brom and Newcastle in their next 4 home matches.
