Jamie Vardy – Leicester City [£8.5m]

The Leicester City forward scored his 5th goal of the season against Liverpool in Gameweek 6, shortly before Simon Mignolet denied him a second, from the penalty spot.

Vardy has vowed to continue taking penalties for Leicester, however, which is great news for those looking to bring in the 30-year-old striker for Gameweek 7.

Leicester have been awarded 3 penalties this season; more than any other Premier League team.

Vardy’s tally of 8 shots on target this season is level with Alvaro Morata and only Aguero (10), Joselu (10), Kane (13) & Lukaku (14) have managed more, amongst forwards.

Leicester’s tally of 9 goals scored can be beaten only by Spurs (10), Chelsea (12), Liverpool (12), Man Utd (17) and Man City (21).

The next 5 fixtures look strong for The Foxes; they face home fixtures against West Brom and Everton, as well as away trips to Swansea and Stoke.

Before that though, they’ll take on Bournemouth this weekend. Eddie Howe’s side have conceded 11 goals this season; only Leicester (12), West Ham (13) and Crystal Palace (13) have conceded more.

Similarly, only Stoke (15), Liverpool (15) and Crystal Palace (19) have conceded more ‘big chances’ than Bournemouth (14).

Choupo-Moting – Stoke City [£5.6m]

The Stoke midfielder became a bandwagon back in Gameweek 4, when his 2 goals earned his side a draw against Manchester United.

Since then, he’s been fairly quiet in terms of FPL returns and Stoke have scored just 1 goal from games against Newcastle and Chelsea.

However, Choupo-Moting’s underlying stats show a lot of promise and he’s actually ranked 2nd for shots from inside the box (15), amongst midfielders; only Mohamed Salah has taken more (20).

Stoke have a strong run of fixtures to come now, with home games against Bournemouth, Leicester, Liverpool and Swansea on the horizon, as well as away trips to Watford, Brighton and Crystal Palace.

In Gameweek 7, they host Southampton. Stoke have already taken points against Arsenal and Man Utd at home this season and are generally a strong team on home turf.

Javier Hernandez – West Ham [£7.0m]

The Mexico international found his 3rd goal of the season last Gameweek, during the 3-2 defeat to Spurs, to maintain his impressive 50% involvement in West Ham’s goals this season.

Only 6 Premier League forwards have managed more shots on target this season, with Chicharito’s tally equal to Alexandre Lacazette and Gabriel Jesus.

There is temptation to splash out on 3 big forwards at the moment but Chicharito offers an alternative to the template, with both form and fixtures on his side.

Over the next 7 Gameweeks, West Ham face home fixtures against Swansea, Brighton, Liverpool and Leicester, with away trips to Burnley, Crystal Palace and Watford in between.

Swansea are ranked 19th for goal attempts conceded this season; only Burnley have conceded more. They’ve conceded a tally of 12 big chances this season; only 4 teams have conceded more.

Ben Davies – Spurs [£5.7m]

The Spurs defender came back into the team last Gameweek, after being rested against Swansea.

Even after conceding twice during the heated derby against West Ham, Spurs have still only conceded 5 goals this season; only Huddersfield (3), Man Utd (2) and Man City (2) have conceded fewer.

Similarly, they’ve conceded just 5 ‘big chances’, which is level with Man City and only Chelsea have conceded fewer.

From his wing-back position, Ben Davies has looked incredibly attacking this season. He’s ranked 1st amongst defenders for attempted assists and only 5 Premier League players have created more chances, despite Davies missing a game.

Spurs take on Huddersfield in Gameweek 7, a side that have earned their points so far primarily down to their strong defence; keeping 4 clean sheets in 6 games. They’ve produced just 4 ‘big chances’ this season; only Bournemouth (3) and Brighton (2) have created fewer.
