Put your Fantasy Premier League skills to the test in our Gameweek 7 £50.00 1st place prize Freeroll contest on Starting 11’s Daily Fantasy Football app.
With favourable fixtures for Liverpool, Manchester City and Spurs, their premium assets are key targets for Gameweek 7’s Mini League on Starting 11 this Saturday, but we can’t own them all, so who do we side with?
I, @FFPundits_Drew am pleased to announce that our friends at Starting 11 are giving us another £50.00 in cash to give away this week, via a free-entry Mini League on their iOS and Android app game, Starting 11.
We will be teaming up with FPLtips again this week, as they will be hosting the Mini League each week on the Starting 11 platform and offering it to their YouTube followers also, so stay tuned for video content on this free offering each and every week.
As always, there are no player values or team budgets to abide by, which for me, makes selecting my 11-man lineup even harder this week as we really are spoiled for choice.
You thought it was tough last Sunday with eight teams in action, well this Saturday’s bumper fixture list means you have a whopping SIXTEEN teams to take into consideration.
Below, I (@FFPundits_Drew) will show you guys my lineup in advance and offer a few thoughts on which premium and differential players i’m considering.
Once you’ve installed the app and are logged in, please head over to the ‘Mini-League’ tab and there you will see FPLTips’ contest for Saturday the 28th of September.
As we’ve said above – both the iOS and Android apps are free to download, and the £50.00 Freeroll contest is free to join and play so, there’s nothing to lose.
Heung-Min Son vs. Southampton (H)
On Twitter I’ve seen a number of captain polls already available, who will you trust with that precious armband for Gameweek 7?
He may not feature much within those polls due to the likes of Aguero, Sterling and Salah – but on Starting 11 this week I am backing the Son to shine.
The Spurs Midfielder started the season late due to suspension, however during the last three Gameweeks he has scored twice and provided two assists – for me he is more important to this Spurs side than Harry Kane.
After Saturday’s late defeat to Leicester last weekend, Mauricio Pochettino will want to bounce back and make a statement – especially with a favorable fixture vs Southampton to take advantage of.
Mohamed Salah vs. Sheffield United (A)
When the Premier League leaders travel to a newly promoted side, our expectations rise and this fixture is no different as Liverpool aim to maintain their 100% record this season.
Mo Salah has of course been instrumental, providing at least one attacking return in all but one of their six victories this season – chipping in with four goals and three assists.
The fantasy points are spread between the front three along with Bobby Firmino and Sadio Mane, however given the choice – it’s always Salah for me.
Mane and Firmino can be just as explosive, but are they as reliable? It takes a special player to show the consistency Mo Salah does.
Raheem Sterling vs. Everton (A)
Last Saturday hurt as a Sterling owner over on FPL, watching Manchester City smash EIGHT goals past a helpless Watford was agonising with my captain sat on the bench.
Two blanks then rested during Gameweek 6, time to avoid? Absolutely not – Sterling has had his break and will be raring to go vs Everton.
Everton have just conceded two goals to Sheffield United, if the Blades can score two against them (no offense Sheffield United fans) – then what can Manchester City do to them?
You’ll need plenty of sky blue in those Starting 11 sides this weekend.
The Punt – Matt Doherty vs. Watford (H)
One of my favourite players during the 2018/19 season has had a stuttering start this year due to injury, however after seeing some of his Europa League performances so far and watching him vs Crystal Palace last weekend – I think he’s worth a punt.
It took a stunning save from Vicente Guaita on Sunday to keep Doherty out, who could have been mistaken for a centre forward as opposed to a wing back he was so far forward.
We all saw how woeful Watford were last weekend, quite frankly I’d back anyone against them after that – Wolves have had a slow start to the season due to Europa League commitments, however I still think the quality is there and expect them to climb start climbing the table.
