Gameweek 12 is approaching and Starting 11 are back with another £50.00 Mini-League Freeroll

Gameweek 12 Starting 11

Hello and welcome back, we have a tight fixture list on Sunday with THREE Premier League fixtures on offer, there are still  plenty of players to choose from – but who will make YOUR Starting 11?

Our friends at Starting 11 have giving us another £50.00 in cash to give away this weekend, via a free-entry Mini League on their iOS and Android app game, Starting 11.

We will be teaming up with FPLtips once again this week, as they continue to host the Mini League each week on the Starting 11 platform.

Before we tell you more about the weekly contest, rules and how to get involved, be sure to download the FREE iOS or Android app and register – it takes less than 60 seconds.

Below, I (@FFPundits_Drew) will show you guys my lineup in advance and offer a few thoughts on which premium and differential players I’m considering.

Once you’ve installed the app and are logged in, please head over to the ‘Mini-League’ tab and there you will see FPLTips’ Mini-League contest for Sunday the 10th of November.

As we’ve said above – both the iOS and Android apps are free to download, and the £50.00 Freeroll contest is free to join and play so, there’s nothing to lose.

Sadio Mane vs Manchester City (H)

Absolutely no arguments of late, the Liverpool player we all need in our fantasy teams is Sadio Mane – not necessarily Mo Salah (in my opinion).

His goal and two assists during his last two Premier League games means it’s ten attacking returns from ten starts for Mane, Salah on the other hand has only one goal from his last five starts which was from the penalty spot – dare I say he looks a little rusty?

Klopp made a significant selection choice on Tuesday night in the Champions League, resting key players such as Mane, Firmino and Robertson ready to face Manchester City this weekend.

It’s a fixture that’s tough to call, but it’s a game I believe Liverpool will win – with Mane a vital part of that victory.

Trent Alexander-Arnold vs. Manchester City (H)

Liverpool’s very own Kevin de Bruyne playing at right back, arguably the second best passer of the ball this season after the Belgian – Gary Lineker has tweeted saying he’d love to see Alexander-Arnold playing in central midfield and I have to agree.

However for the time being, he remains a full back – and even from there he has created NINE big chances this season, second only to De Bruyne with eleven.  Incredible stats for a defender.

As a fantasy football asset, I see Alexander-Arnold more as a midfielder with set piece responsibility who can also benefit from the odd clean sheet – more than I do a defender, so this week’s fixture does not put me off owning him.

Manchester City have to win this game, they will come at Liverpool – but that will allow opportunities for Liverpool to try and exploit.

John McGinn vs Wolves (A)

A player who wasn’t on my radar until after the opening few games of the season, however with the stats he is producing he’s a player who has found his way into my FPL team and finds himself in my  Starting 11 team on Sunday.

McGinn has had 14 shots on target this season from his opening 10 games, those attempts have only resulted in three goals so far – however if he can continue his form then it’s likely we will see more attacking returns.

During a weekend of fixtures which are hard to call, this one is no different – Aston Villa take on Wolves who have been inconsistent, following their surprise victory over Manchester City they have failed to win any of their next three games.

I couldn’t tell you which team will come away with 3 points, however if Aston Villa are to score then it’s likely McGinn will be involved – he even produced an assist against Liverpool last weekend.

The Punt

Diogo Jota vs. Aston Villa (H)

Sticking with the same fixture, we look to a differential – my punt this week is Diogo Jota.

Things haven’t started this season they way they ended in 2018/19 for Jota, after moving to play up top alongside Jiminez last season he started scoring regularly and was a popular player to own.

Perhaps it’s the distraction of the Europa League that’s caused a slow start, whatever the reason – recently Jota has started to show signs of his former self and looks to be finding form.

During his last two games he has managed eight shots on goal and missed a big chance in each game, the goals are coming and Sunday is an opportunity for you to climb on-board before the masses follow.

On Starting 11 Jota is still classified as a Midfielder which means if he does perform this weekend he’s a golden ticket.
