Tottenham’s Harry Kane is set to top the captaincy charts for Gameweek 12 due to his goal-scoring record vs Arsenal
Hello and welcome back to our Fantasy Football Captaincy Poll, where we give you the opportunity to cast your weekly captain pick anonymously and see who your FPL peers put their faith in for Gameweeek 12.
We’ve decided to write and publish this article and poll during the International Break to grab your early thoughts ahead of Gameweek 12, with several key FPL players out of action through injury, yet likely to start for their clubs this weekend.
Harry Kane was ruled out of England’s friendlies against Germany and Brazil – with Tottenham anxious over his participation in the two fixtures due to a hamstring injury, he was omitted from the England squad to rest, yet is reportedly fit to play against Arsenal this Saturday…
Elsewhere, Manchester United front-man Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace against Mexico on Friday night, but hasn’t scored for his club in his last 4 Premier League outings – with his last goal coming against Palace in Gameweek 7.
Could another strong international display from Lukaku (if he plays) against Japan on Tuesday night put him in your top 3 captaincy candidate picks for Gameweek 12, or has he already done enough already?
Mohamed Salah was surplus to requirements for Egypt this international break – having already qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Salah was given time off to rest and train back home at Melwood, so should be fit and healthy for Gameweek 12 against Southampton.
With Jesus and Aguero both finding the back of the net for Argentina and Brazil on international duties, the Pep Roulette merry-go-round is likely to continue in to Gameweek 12, with FPL bosses left guessing as to which striker with start, play and/or be rested against Leicester this Saturday.
Please cast your Gameweek 12 captaincy pick to the poll below and be sure to reach out to me via twitter @FFPundits_Dale with any questions you might have ahead of Saturday’s 11:30am deadline.
