Hard to ignore Liverpool's Mo Salah? - The FPL Captains Poll - Gameweek 15

12:57pm Nov 30 2017

Fantasy assets from Chelsea failed to deliver, as Mo Salah and Wayne Rooney light up Gameweek 14

It was Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata that topped our Gameweek 14 midweek Captains Poll, but much to the disappointment of those FPL bosses who own one, or both, the pair returned just 2 points between them.

On Tuesday night, the Official FPL removed Harry Kane’s expected 2 bonus points, leaving many of us feeling like we’d had a ‘captaincy fail’ – however, due to Chelsea’s minimal returns, it turned out to be a great decision for those who put the armband on the Spurs front-man.

Elsewhere, Twitter went in to meltdown come 7pm on Wednesday evening, with Salah, Hazard, David Silva and Azpilicueta all announced as starting on the bench.

Leroy Sane’s name was nowhere to be seen on Pep’s team-sheet, which caused even more upset amongst the FPL community on Twitter –  it was later confirmed that Sane had a minor illness (man-flu) and was given the night off to rest.

Last but not least. Mr Mohamed Salah – the FPL gift that keeps on giving.

Now owned by 50.4% of overall managers, the Egyptian came off the bench on the 67th minutes and scored 2 goals within 16 minutes – much to the delight of those FPL bosses who awarded him the armband.

Is Mo Salah a safe, weekly captain pick?

Are the likes of Kane and Morata still captaincy candidate favourites going forward?

Is Wayne Rooney going to thrive under Big Sam?
