Man United’s Anthony Martial rises in price, meaning Lucas Moura keeps his place against Manchester City in Gameweek 2

Good afternoon Fantasy Premier League bosses and welcome to Gameweek 2. Doesn’t time fly by when you’re having fun.
After such a high-scoring start to the season, can we expect more of the same this weekend? Lets hope so…
If you haven’t already read it, earlier this week we published our Gameweek 1 Team Review which briefly discussed possible changes to our FFP Staff Team going forward.
We aren’t going to repeat ourselves here, however, what we can do is confirm that we are now locked in for Gameweek 2.
The main news is that we have decided to carry our free transfer, meaning we have the flexibility of two free transfers to enjoy ahead of Gameweek 3.
We created this team with the opening four weeks in mind, so we aren’t going to tear it apart after one week – as tempting as it is.
The only temptation we did have was to sell Lucas Moura (vs Manchester City) and replace him with Anthony Martial (vs Wolves), however what we weren’t prepared to do was to make the move early – with midweek games for Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk to negotiate first.
In the end the decision to keep Moura was made for us, as Martial’s price increase of £0.1m priced us out of the transfer – Martial is still on our radar, but lets see how he gets on vs Wolves first.
With no transfers to make and a bench that picks itself, the only decision to make was who to captain.
With Kane away to Manchester City and no other obvious captain contenders, Salah’s 120 minutes on Wednesday night in the European Super Cup Final hasn’t put us off – maybe if it was later in the season we’d have rolled the dice with Lucas Digne, but there is no need for such gambles this early on.
Should we need to make any last minute changes between now and the Gameweek 2 deadline, we will announce it on Twitter – As always, we welcome any constructive feedback, ideas and friendly criticism on Twitter via @FFPundits and @FFPundits_Drew
Gameweek 2 – Final Team
DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS… our partners at FanTeam.com are offering a quarter of a million Euro prize pool for their season-long game, which is almost identical to FPL. Yes, that’s €250,000
There’s a cool €50,000 for first place prize and the top 1250 places are paid out! What’s even better is there’s still just under 4000 places available still, so you’re not too late to the party.
It’s absolutely not to be missed and we, as well as many other well-known FPL accounts and websites, we’ll be playing this game also.
