10. Matt Ritchie – £5.5m
4 set piece assists by Matt Ritchie ranked joint-5th amongst Premier League players, with only Holebas, Fraser (each 5), Eriksen (6) and Moutinho (7) faring better.
The Newcastle defender also has penalty duties in his locker, converting one of his 2 efforts from the spot last time around.
9. Lucas Digne – £6.0m
Despite taking 36 successful corners last season, a figure only bettered by Milivojevic (39), Snodgrass (44) and Maddison (49), Everton left-back Lucas Digne picked up just one of his 5 FPL assists from set pieces.
Of his 70 attempted assists, 31 came from set plays; ranking the 26-year-old top amongst defenders.
The Frenchman fired 11 shots from free kicks, with only 4 players attempting more and picked up 4 set piece goals, comprised of 2 from direct free kicks and a further 2 from corners.
8. Trent Alexander-Arnold – £7.0m
Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold picked up 4 of his 13 FPL assists from set pieces, with 3 of them coming in the last 11 matches.
No player recorded more set piece assists during that period (GW28-38), while only Milivojevic (17) took more than his 16 successful corners.
The 20-year-old also managed a set piece goal, taking 9 attempts from free kicks, with 3 of his efforts saved.
7. João Moutinho – £5.5m
Wolves midfielder Moutinho went under the radar as the king of set piece assists last season, with no player recording more than his 7.
Only Maddison (163) took more corners than the 32-year-old (159), while his total of 35 successful corners ranked 5th amongst Premier League players.
6. Christian Eriksen – £9.0m
If Spurs can keep hold of him this summer, Christian Eriksen looks set to play an even bigger role in set plays after the sale of Kieran Tripper, who took 73 corners compared to Eriksen’s 67 last season.
The Denmark international ranked 2nd in the league with a tally of 6 set piece assists, while only Milivojevic (5) and Rashford (6) saw more than his 4 goal attempts saved from free kicks.
5. James Maddison – £7.0m
No player scored more goals from free kicks than James Maddison (3) last season, while only Milivojevic (16) took more than his 15 attempts.
Totals of 163 corners, with 49 successful, also ranked the Leicester midfielder top amongst Premier League players.
The Englishman won his team 2 penalties and also converted from the spot on one occasion, when Jamie Vardy wasn’t on the pitch.
4. Callum Wilson – £8.0m
When it comes to Bournemouth players to watch from set pieces, you might think of Fraser, with his 5 set piece assists or King, who converted 5 penalties last time around.
But Callum Wilson recorded 6 set piece goals, comprised of 2 from indirect free kicks, 3 from corners and 1 from the penalty spot.
The 27-year-old also won his side 3 penalties, with only Salah (5) and Zaha (6) earning more.
3. Paul Pogba – £8.5m
No Premier League side received more penalties than Man Utd (12) last season and Paul Pogba converted 7 times from his 10 attempts, with only Milivojevic (10) recording more goals from the spot.
The Frenchman added a further set piece goal to his tally from an indirect free kick.
If Solskjaer can keep hold of him, the 26-year-old is sure to influence the side from set pieces once again next season.
2. Mohamed Salah – £12.5m
Only Zaha (6) won more penalties than Mo Salah last season; Liverpool were awarded a total of 7 penalties and the Egyptian king earned 5.
But it’s worth noting that he wouldn’t be awarded an FPL assist for the penalties which he won but also scored himself.
Sharing the duties with Milner, the 27-year-old converted 3 times from the spot and added a further 2 set piece goals from indirect free kicks.
He was behind both Milner (92) and Alexander-Arnold (74) for corner duties but Salah’s 35 deliveries resulted in 2 set piece assists.
1. Luka Milivojevic – £7.0m
Luka Milivojevic was the undisputed king of set pieces last season, with only 1 of his 14 goal involvements coming from open play.
The Crystal Palace midfielder scored a league-high total of 10 penalties, only missing once from the spot.
His involvement in direct free kicks resulted in one further set piece goal, with no player taking more than his 16 attempts and only Rashford (6 to 5) seeing more efforts saved.
Creating 30 chances from set plays, a figure only bettered by 5 players, Milivojevic also added 2 set piece assists to his tally.
