Two IN Two OUT - Gameweek 19 - FPL & Daily Fantasy Picks

After Solskjaer’s five-star performance against Cardiff, Manchester United players are all everyone wants this Christmas

daily fantasy tips - week 19

It’s Two IN and Two OUT for @FFPundits_Drew this week as we look at the transfer activity in the FPL market, and how those trends may or may not effect on our daily fantasy Starting 11 lineups.

The festive fixtures are coming thick and fast – with only two days break between Gameweek 18 and 19, that doesn’t seem to be stopping FPL bosses tinkering with their lineups – but who’s IN and who’s OUT for this years Boxing Day fixtures?

For all you FPL managers out there – as well as those of you playing Starting 11 daily fantasy with us each week, I hope this week’s sections give you plenty of food for thought when locking in your FPL and/or daily fantasy lineups.

Two IN

After securing a starting place within Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup since Gameweek 14, we’ve seen a steady flow of attacking returns in the form of four assists and one goal during four games.

Prior to Gameweek 18, Rashford had already caught the attention of fantasy bosses, even before The Special One was given his marching orders by Ed Woodwood.

The next chapter began on Saturday evening, with Solskjaer bringing attacking football back to Manchester United and with Lukaku out on compassionate leave, Rashford lead the line and marked the occasion with a goal.

This week, we expect Rashford to continue in his number 9 roll as Huddersfield Town travel to Old Trafford on Boxing Day for a Christmas showdown.

Manchester United fans will be well behind the team and hoping for another goal-scoring performance against a side who have lost their last five games, conceding nine goals during that time.

With over 250,000  transfers IN already for Rashford on FPL, the bandwagon is in motion as fantasy bosses see the opportunity to grab a bargain, priced at just £7.1m.

As for our daily fantasy lineups on Starting 11, it’s near impossible not to select an inform striker, from an inform team, who are playing an out of form side lying in the relegation zone.

Roll with Rashford in both FPL and Daily Fantasy with confidence in Gameweek 19.

Manchester United are dominating the transfers IN this week, currently making up four of the top six players IN ahead of Gameweek 19.

The second most transferred in player for Gameweek 19 is Jesse Lingard with over 195,000 transfers in, and with an affordable price-tag of just £6.8m, his 5.6% ownership makes him one of the best differentials on the market right now.

After becoming one of the surprises of the 2017-18 season, it has to be said that during the first half of this season, Lingard has been a disappointment – delivering only two goals and zero assists prior to Solskjaers appointment.

Is that all about to change? Against Cardiff on Saturday evening, Lingard started on the right of a front 3 – scoring twice and recording an assist.

Taking (and scoring) a penalty with both Pogba and Rashford on the pitch was an interesting note, however Solskjaer did confirm after the game that Pogba remains the clubs penalty taker.

Once again, when it comes to your Starting 11 Daily Fantasy lineups, you can play Lingard with confidence, along with Marcus Rashford in a Manchester United stack attack!

Two OUT

Raheem Sterling vs. Leicester City (A)

We are a fickle bunch us fantasy football managers, aren’t we? After scoring four goals and producing four assists in only four games, Sterling wasn’t only a popular pick, but was dubbed a ‘must own’ by many on Twitter.

Fast forward four Gameweeks and only one goal later, 160,000k+ managers on FPL have ditched the England International from their squads, making him the most transferred OUT player in Gameweek 19.

A reaction to Manchester City’s surprise defeat? Goals from other premium players such as Eriksen and Son?

Whatever the reason, we know Pep Guardiola’s men can humiliate any Premier League side on their day and after losing ground to Liverpool, I expect a reaction from the City players.

In my opinion, those who sold will be hiding behind the sofa if Sterling starts vs Leicester on Boxing Day.

My advice for Starting 11 daily fantasy players would be to check those lineups at 2pm and if Sterling is starting, then you really have no excuse for excluding him from your lineup.

Callum Wilson vs. Tottenham (A)

As we hit the halfway point, Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson has to be one of the players of the season, right?

Starting11.io - Gameweek 19 daily fantasyHaving scored eight goals and providing eight assists, the Cherries’ top scorer has exceeded all of our expectations so far, but has his rich vein of form come to an abrupt end?

It has now been three weeks since Wilson delivered an attacking return, and with two tough fixtures away to both Spurs and Manchester United up next, FPL bosses are calling in their chips and walking away with the profits – as over 150,000 ditch him ahead of Gameweek 19.

Is it the right time? Probably – with the form and fixtures of Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, I don’t blame FPL bosses in making the switch.

As for Starting 11, there are plenty of stronger forward options this week, with much kinder fixtures too.

Yes, Wilson has proved he can score against the big boys, but it would take a brave manager to back him in Wednesday’s daily fantasy football contests over the likes of Rashford, Kane, Aubameyang and Aguero.
