Out with the old and in with the new ahead of DOUBLE Gameweek 37 says @DannyBryan27

Greetings FPL bosses!

It’s double trouble for the final time this season, as Gameweek 37 is a double Gameweek for over half of the clubs involved.

With that in mind, this week’s piece draws your attention to those who are bang in-form and have huge potential for big returns, at the expense of those who are in action just the once, as well as those who seem to have already got their proverbial beach towels out.

So, without further ado, here are my thoughts ahead of double Gameweek 37. Finally, I’d like to wish all of you the very best of luck for the season’s finale, and thank you for staying tuned throughout the season.

Roll on August!

Who’s HOT?

Aymeric Laporte vs. H’field (H) & Brighton (H)

Manchester City can take a giant step towards reaching an unprecedented total of 100 points as they host both Huddersfield Town and Brighton in double Gameweek 37.

With injury doubts over both Vincent Kompany and Kyle Walker, Laporte looks set to continue his run in the Manchester City starting XI.

The big-money January recruit has completed the full 90 minutes in his last three Premier League outings, and represents a fantastic opportunity to bag a double clean-sheet against two of the league’s poorest away attacks.

Dele Alli vs. West Brom (A) & Newcastle (H)

Dele Alli was back amongst the goals as Spurs saw of Watford 2-0 in Gameweek 36.

The England midfielder has now scored four goals in his last six Premier League appearances, and will be keen to finish the season strongly, ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to bottom club West Brom in double Gameweek 37, before entertaining Newcastle at Wembley – two very winnable fixtures, giving the 13.5% of Alli owners plenty of reason for optimism.

Gabriel Jesus vs. H’field (H) & Brighton (H)

Another player desperate to have a positive end to the season is Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus – and with three goals in his last three appearances, the Brazilian is doing just that.

In the absence of Sergio Aguero, Jesus is nailed-on for a place in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI for the visits of Huddersfield and Brighton in Gameweek 37.

Having registered an impressive 25 points in the last three Gameweeks, the 21 year-old forward is an absolute must-have this time around – even at a pricey £10.4m.

Who’s NOT? (hot)

Stephen Ward vs. Arsenal (A)

Burnley have just the one fixture to contend with in Gameweek 37 – a trip to Arsenal, for what will be Arsene Wenger’s last ever home game in charge of the Gunners.

On what is sure to be an emotional afternoon at the Emirates, Arsenal will look to continue their impressive home form this season in order to give their servant of 22 years a fitting farewell.

Burnley have managed just two clean sheets in their last 15, and only Manchester City have managed to prevent the Gunners from finding the net on home soil this season.

Riyad Mahrez vs. West Ham (H) & Arsenal (H)

If Leicester’s Gameweek 36 capitulation at Crystal Palace is anything to go by, then Claude Puel’s men have already clocked off for the summer.

The Foxes host both West Ham and Arsenal in Gameweek 37 having picked up just one point from their last four games.

What’s more alarming, however, is the form of Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian was totally anonymous at Selhurst Park last time out, and has failed to register a goal or an assist since Gameweek 30.

Roberto Firmino vs. Chelsea (A)

Jurgen Klopp’s side were decidedly off-colour as they failed to break down a resilient Stoke side last time out, meaning it’s now just three goals in nine Gameweeks for Roberto Firmino.

If you can possibly stretch to it, my best advice would be to replace him with his fellow countryman Gabriel Jesus – however, you’ll need to find another £0.9m from somewhere if you’re already at your limit.
